[Preparation for marriage] Honju Hanbok. - Sangshinju
ReviewHello, I'm Min-gael.
As I thought about what to do with the wedding's costumes,
I thought about what it would be like to dress or suit mothers of both families.
However, when the costumes searched online were among the guests, they went unnoticed and were mostly old.
Because the two mothers are ten years apart, the risk of the age gap being pronounced should be minimized.
Perhaps that's why it seemed hard to find a pretty design that would go well with both.
In that sense, hanbok was easy because only the colors and patterns were well chosen.
As expected, our elegant and beautiful hanbok is the best no matter what woman wears it.
We decided to wear Hanbok for our mother's clothes and made a reservation to visit Sangshinjudan, a wedding hall affiliate.
(You can go see the wedding hanbok a month or two before the wedding day, but I didn't know that and visited early.)
I could have toured a hanbok company, but I didn't feel the need to go around because I liked the hanboks from the late Sangshin Jourdan because I would only see elegant hanboks that were not unique or colorful.
Sangshin Jourdan is located in the underground shopping center of Dongdaemun Station Line 4.
If you visit by car, you can park in the parking lot of Dongdaemun Tourist Hotel.
Parking is free if you get a parking card from Sangshinjudan.
If you follow the navigation into the alley, you will find the Dongdaemun Tourist Hotel parking lot, and I don't know what the building is right next to it, but there is a signboard for Sangshin Ju-dan at the entrance of the underground parking lot.
You can park your car in the Dongdaemun Tourist Hotel parking lot and leave the car key to the manager.
And as the information board explains, if you cross the parking lot and go out to the main street, you will find exit 7 of Dongdaemun Station.
If you enter the subway station, there are several doors to Dongdaemun Underground Shopping Center.
Enter the first door you see and find A-3.
I forgot the road, so if you walk slowly, you'll see it.
We came here because we measured the size in advance without accompanying our mothers.
The consultation takes place in the chair right in front of you.
I'm telling you the size I've measured, but ordinary people who don't know hanbok measured it, and both mothers measured their arms too short or long for their height.
So based on the height and the size we measured, the boss rearranged it to the right size.
After recording the size, we talked about which hanbok to choose.
When choosing a wedding hanbok, the bride is in a difficult color and the groom is in a unique color.
Usually, this color is applied to either a jeogori or a skirt.
According to a preliminary investigation, if you color a jeogori, the wedding spirit and bride come out pretty when taking pictures, and if you color a skirt, they are elegant and pretty when they appear.
Our preference looked good in the form of white jeogori and giving colors to skirts.
On top of that, the president recommended bright and bright colors because the wedding hall of The Gathering is bright and it is spring in May.
I narrowed down the choice and was guided inside. (Please take off your shoes)
First, I chose the bride's mother's skirt.
Since our wedding hall has white flowers at the bottom, we chose a soft pink skirt among the plain patterns, considering age and skin color.
When the bride's mother chose the jacket, the yellow-colored top didn't go well with her, so the moment she wanted to tell her, she picked a back ivory and showed it to her to see if she was an expert.
This time, it's time to choose the skirt of the groom's mother.
The groom's mother has a similar skin tone as the bride's mother, so I wore the same jeogori and looked at the blue skirt.
The groom's mother is in her 50s, so I chose mint because dark colors may look too old.
But it must have looked too bright for your mother.
I talked to the groom's mother and showed her options.
The boss helped me compare the colors of the skirt with the picture of the groom's mother on my phone.
In the end, I convinced him that mint color was the prettiest.
I sat down again after choosing Hanbok.
The boss cut the pieces from the fabric of our skirt and attached them to the ledger(?).
The ceremony is a long way away, so you don't have to worry about the wrong color of your skirt.
I got a parking card after finishing the contract.
